About PDFmoor

Last updated: 7 October 2026

In one sentence: PDFmoor is a free set of PDF and image tools that work entirely inside your web browser — your files are never uploaded anywhere.

What PDFmoor is

PDFmoor offers more than 35 everyday document tools — merge, split, compress, convert, sign, edit, annotate, add images, OCR, protect and more. It is built for students, office workers, small businesses and anyone who needs to get a PDF job done quickly without installing software or creating an account.

How it works

Every tool is a small program that downloads to your browser and processes your file on your own device, using well-known open-source libraries such as pdf-lib, PDF.js (by Mozilla) and Tesseract.js. Because of that:

  • Your documents are not uploaded to our server or anyone else’s.
  • We cannot see, store or share your files — they never reach us.
  • The tools keep working on slow connections once a page has loaded.

You can check this yourself: open your browser’s developer tools (F12 → Network tab) while using any tool and you will see that no file is sent anywhere.

What PDFmoor is not

  • No sign-up, no accounts, no passwords collected.
  • No software downloads, browser extensions or installers.
  • No payment pages — every tool is free to use.

Who runs it

PDFmoor is an independent website operated by an individual developer. Questions, bug reports and feature requests are welcome at contact@pdfmoor.com. See also our Privacy Policy and Terms of Use.
