Splitting is useful when one scan contains several documents, when you only need to send a chapter of a report, or when a portal only accepts small files.

- Open Split PDF and select one PDF.
- Choose how to split it:
- Custom ranges — type page groups separated by commas, for example
1-3, 4-6, 7. Each group becomes its own PDF. - Every page — creates one PDF per page.

Examples of page ranges
1-2— one file with pages 1 and 2.1, 3, 5— three separate one-page files.1-10, 11-20, 21-30— a 30-page report cut into three parts of ten pages.
Split or extract?
Use Split when you want several output files. If you only want one new file containing selected pages, Extract Pages is quicker. To throw away pages and keep the rest, use Delete Pages.
